Jaime Lloreda posted his fourth double-double of the year, scoring 22 points and pulling down 10 rebounds, as LSU defeated Tulane 67-48 Tuesday night.
Darrel Mitchell, in his first start of the year for LSU (7-0), tied his career high with 19 points, including four 3-pointers, while Tack Minor came off the bench and also tied his season high with 12.
Tulane (5-3) was plagued by poor shooting, hitting just 34.4 percent of its field goal attempts and was 1-of-11 in free throw attempts.
Wayne Tinsley led the Green Wave with 12 points while Vytas Tatarunas added 10.
LSU scored 25 points
off of 17 Tulane turnovers.
Derrick Wiley scored 15 points to lead East Carolina to a 77-53 win over Hampton on Tuesday night.
Wiley made 6 of 12 attempts from the field and 3-of-4 from the free throw line.
Erroyl Bing added
13 points and Belton Rivers and Gabriel Mikulas each posted 11 for the Pirates
(6-1). Bing and Mikulas also grabbed eight rebounds apiece.
East Carolina held Hampton (3-8) to 35 percent shooting from the field and turned
27 Hampton turnovers into 32 points.
East Carolina shot 48 percent from the field and made 38.5 percent from 3-point range. The Pirates shot 66.7 percent from the free throw line.
Frank Russell was the only Hampton player to score in double figures, pitching in 17 points.
