Freshman Blake Schilb scored a game-high 24 points to lead Loyola of Chicago to a 90-83 win over Central Michigan Tuesday.

Loyola (3-4) fell behind by as many as 12 points in the first half but had a strong performance from the bench to pull out the win. Majak Kou and Demetrius Williams each scored 13 points and Paul McMillan added 12 points for the Ramblers.

Kevin Nelson led Central Michigan (2-7) with 22 points. Tony Bowne added 19 and Gerrit Brigitha chipped in 14 for the Chippewas.

The win halted a three-game losing skid for Loyola.

Terrence Todd scored 21 points, including a 3-pointer with 1 second left to force overtime, as Fairfield beat George Washington 75-67 Tuesday night.

Fairfield (5-1) trailed by 17 points with 8:57 to play but came back to cut the deficit to eight with 30 seconds left.

Todd scored and DeWitt Maxwell followed with a hoop off a steal. Maxwell scored again with 12 seconds to play to make it 64-62.

After George Washington's T.J. Thompson missed the second of two free throws, Todd pulled up from about 25 feet and buried a 3-pointer to force overtime.

Fairfield dominated the overtime period, getting four points and an assist from Todd, who found Deng Gai for an alley-oop with 53 seconds to play to give the Stags a six-point lead.

Gai finished the game with 15 points, 10 rebounds and eight blocks, and Maxwell added 16 points, five rebounds and four steals.

George Washington (6-4), which lost its second straight and fourth in the last six games, was led by Thompson's 15 points. Mike Hall added 13.

The Colonials led 28-22 at halftime and seemingly took control in the second half. A Thompson 3-pointer with 10:06 to play put George Washington ahead 47-33, and the lead stretched to 17 after a technical foul was called on Fairfield coach Tim OToole with 8:57 remaining.

Todd then scored 17 of his 21 points in the final 8:09 of regulation and overtime.
