Aaron Curtis missed what would have been a game-tying 3-pointer with 28 seconds left and Arkansas State then added three free throws to beat TCU 64-58 Monday night.
J.J. Montgomery scored 16 points and had 12 rebounds for Arkansas State. Kim Adams had 15 points and 11 rebounds and Dewarick Spencer also added 15 points.
TCU (3-6) led 33-31 at halftime but made just 6-of-23 field goals in the second half. Arkansas State (8-1) went on a 17-7 run starting at the 15:47 mark of the second half to pull away from the Horned Frogs.

had 15 points and three assists and Chudi Chinweze had 12 points.
Larry Parker set career highs of 22 points and six assists to lead Louisiana-Monroe to a 101-61 rout of Texas College Monday night.
The Indians (4-8) topped 100 points for the first time in 69 games. Parker, who came into the game as the Indians' third-leading scorer even though he has not started a game this season, hit 9-of-12 shots from the field, his only 3-point attempt, and 3-of-4 free throws.
DeAndre Alexander recorded his second double-double of the season with 12 points and 11 rebounds and Wayne Bransom had 16 rebounds -- eight of them in the game's first six minutes. John Andrews had 11 points and RoShon Jacobs added another 10.
Texas College (4-10) was led by Gyan Fitch, who had nine points.
