Derrick Harris had 15 points to lead Youngstown State over Missouri-Kansas City 73-65 Monday night.
Michael Watson led Missouri-Kansas City (3-6) with 36 points.
Youngstown State
(3-7) trailed by one at halftime, but went on a 19-4 run in the second half
to pull away.
Harris opened the run with a 3-pointer and was 3-for-3 from beyond the arc.
Khari McQueen had 11 points and Doug Underwood had 10.
Watson shot 6-for-13 from 3-point range for the Kangaroos. Mike English scored 12.
TeJay Anderson had seven points, 10 rebounds and six assists for the Penguins.
Thomas Mobley scored 22 points and Stanley Jackson added 20 to help College of Charleston beat North Carolina-Wilmington 65-61 on Monday.
Mobley made 6 of 10 shots from the field and 7-of-10 from the free throw line.
The Cougars (7-1)
harassed the Seahawks (4-3) into shooting 38 percent from the field in the first
half as they built a 39-28 halftime lead.
The Seahawks outscored the Cougars 16-5 to open the second half, tying the game
at 44 on a John Goldsberry 3-pointer.
Dontaye Draper, Mike Benton and Bernard Jackson each had crucial baskets down the stretch to help College of Charleston hold on.
Taylor Lay paced the Seahawks with 16 points and Ed Spencer pitched in 10 points and five rebounds. Ticketmaster. Spencer fouled out of the game in the final minute.
Benton finished with six points, eight rebounds and seven blocks for the Seahawks.
